Prop 8 - Hate won out, but now comes the hard work

Jerry Brown said in August that Prop 8 will not be retroactive
The SF City Attorney is filing a lawsuit challenging the validity of the proposition
Gloria Allred is representing the first lesbian couple who got married in LA, and is also filing a lawsuit
There are still 3 - 4 million ballots to be counted according to the official No on 8 Election Statement
At least 47% and possibly up to 70%, of yes on 8 contributions came from the LDS (Mormon) Church, with much of it coming from out of state
